We enjoyed the hip, woke, diverse, accepting, fun experience at Muse. We recommend you get off work early and go to the bar in Flora, which is just around the block it has a terrific happy hour with $5 drinks and $5 to 8 small plates starting at 4 pm. The arrival time for a 7 pm session is 6:30. We visited on a Friday night so at $45 each the investment for 5 was $225. Session prices vary depending on day of the week. The snacks unfortunately lean toward unhealthy. There is a bar and the prices are mid-range. Even if you have no real experience/aptitude for painting (like me) she makes you feel comfortable. Lisa, our lead artist, standing on a small elevated stage, demonstrated each stroke as we went along in 90 minutes. They grouped us comfortably together on one large table with 5 canvasses and set ups. The idea was to do something together, chat, and drink a drink. They may just have the best price for a glass of wine in all of BBS!! I can't wait to go back again.5 of us, including our adult daughters, made our Father’s Day family get together a session at Muse Paint Bar in West Hartford. I had similar expectations of the wine selection and again was pleased at the variety and quality available. We ordered 4 small apps including the spanakopita and they were all ready quickly, really tasty, and surprisingly easy to eat while working on my masterpiece. I had, frankly, really low expectations of the food and was pleasantly proven wrong. Not only is this particular Muse Paintbar studio great, but it’s also located in the beautiful Blue Back Square section of West. People love it it has almost 200 reviews on Google with a 4.7-star rating. This was the company’s second ever studio and its first location to be open in Connecticut. 5 star), but the staff, food, and drinks are just right! The staff is super friendly, makes art look easy, and perhaps most importantly, actually does make art easy for those of us significantly less artistically inclined. Muse Paintbar West Hartford opened in 2013. 5 star) and they do pack the place so tight it's hard to move around (like to the bathroom) (minus. First date, girls night out, kiddie bday party, you and your lovey, couples date, family night, it works for them all! At about $35, it's maybe a little pricey (minus. This is a great place to take just about anyone. A little more work space would definitely improve the experience. Even then, you had to be careful not to accidentally bump your arm into the person next to you. We had to place our appetizers on our chairs and stand up to paint until we finished our food. The only reason I didn't give this place a 5 star rating is because we felt really cramped. This was our third attempt at making a reservation for 6 people. I would advise planning ahead because the dates book up fast. I like that you can view the calendar online to see which painting you would like to paint and then sign up for that date. The youngest person looked about 9 yrs old and the oldest person appeared to be around 60 yrs old. There was quite an age range of people at this class. There are non-alcoholic drinks available also. We ordered a bottle of wine and a few appetizers. The instructor was upbeat, encouraging and very helpful. The place and employees are very welcoming. The paint bar itself has a cool vibe and fun decor. I do have artistic skills but others in our group do not and they did well. We wanted to do something other than hang out at a bar or restaurant. I recently went here to celebrate a friend's birthday. Overall i would return but very very poor experience this last time. You can order small snacks and there is beer, wine and non alcoholic crinks for sale. You are provided with aprons but I would say to not wear your favorite clothes just in case. Other than that, it is quite fun and easy to follow. But we were not asked, our things were moved by someone else to accomodate the last minute plans of someone else who did not plan ahead like we did. I understand if we had been asked to move, and I probably would have since I had been here before. This was done by an employee to accomodate a party of 5 who had booked within an hour previously. When I returned, our things had been moved to a back table and my back was now toward the instructor. I left my things on the stood to get a beverage. We were pleased to see that we had been given prime seats at the table immediately in front of the instructor facing him. Although I did enjoy this time as well, I have to comment that my friend and I had made reservations well in advance.
